An Offensive Collaboration; Two Peculiar But Remarkable Meetings

Three weeks ago, a music single titled "Jealous" sufficed on the internet. The music single indicated a collaboration between Beyonce Carter and Chris Brown.

In response to the collaboration, many Beyonce fans expressed immerse disappointment; seeing the collaboration as a taint to the image Beyonce created for herself as a feminist (given Chris's record of being a Rihanna beater).

One popular tweet by an angry fan reads:
"I never thought @Beyonce could disappoint me - until she collaborated with Chris Brown"
A good number of other tweets show similar displeasure to the collaboration.

I was struck by the similarity this situation shared with another I had come across in February. In which, Angelina Jolie met with the Pope of the Roman Catholic Church. The picture below shows her shaking his hand.

It is my opinion that, if these fans were to be Pope Francis, given the track record of Angelina, Jolie would have never made it to the Vatican City, talk more of shaking hands with a Pope!

It brings to mind that remarkable people don't go about looking into a person's past or a person's future. They look to what this person has become.

Not who s/he was or who s/he will be, but who s/he is: human.
