The
answer to that question is scarcely ever definitive. How often to you hear “This
is exactly where I am supposed to be at this time”? There are so many questions
that should be asked every once in a while to help us with feedback as to
whether we are on course or off course in our life journeys. It is my opinion
that this is one of such questions: Is What You Are Doing worth Your Life?
If
you answer “Yes” then you are an exceedingly lucky minority that the rest of us
in the majority envy. When the consideration that every single second that
ticks and goes by brings us closer to the last one comes to mind, we face sure
re-evaluation of what’s important and what’s not. Being that my inclination
falls toward having an affinity for structure, planning and order, I happen to
be one with absolute abhorrence for uncertainty. Having to know that mastering
uncertainty is vitally important to handle life’s pursuit hasn’t been the most
thrilling addition to my storehouse of knowledge. Is there a reason why one
must risk whatever comfort he is accustomed to all in the pursuit of meaning,
happiness and growth? I don’t have the answer, but there is no denying the fact
that the pursuit of meaning, happiness and growth lies deep in our hearts. To
think that only a few find this meaning, happiness and appreciable growth calls
to question what exactly is wrong.
Perhaps
its comfort that keeps us where we are. Or, conformity that streamlines our
behavior to what is popularly accepted. Fear? Or tolerance that makes us accept
what life throws. Lack of know-how. Is what you are doing worth your is a
vitally important question and I would to hear from you what your thoughts are on what you constantly trade life for.
Thanks For Reading.
